Just writing this while waiting for my flight to start boarding.
I'm going to Dubai for Nas Daily's summer residency for a month, but that's not what I'm shocked about.
The shocking part to me is that I went to Dubai as a 9-year-old in 2014 on a family vacation. Not in a billion years would I have thought that I'd go back a decade later to live with 20 complete strangers and build and learn from them.
It's so paradoxical. Whenever I used to travel on family vacations, I used to see people on business trips with just one small duffel bag, and I seriously used to think: how come they're traveling so light? Don't their mothers give them some snacks to eat? (My mom still gives me these.)
This year, I'm slowly becoming that person my 10-year-old self used to see at airports, where I carry the bare minimum and carry protein bars. I went to my first-ever conference and now I'm going to a 30-day residency in a different country.
It's dope. Super cool. Excited as hell.
Still feeling this deep sense of awe and gratefulness.
